How much can i charge for graphic design work ?

Hi, Im an aspiring graphic designer and am starting out freelance. Im just looking for suggestions on how much to charge for my services ? Ive been offered a few logo design for companies in my area and also a regular job designing a small local magazine. I have a few ideas about prices but i just wanted to ask for some good advice first ! Thanks

How much can i charge for graphic design work ?
Though it is good to see what other designers are charging, most them have experience and are able to charge a lot more. In the beginning, I think it is a good idea to price very low to get the job and at the same time - your client will know that they are saving money because of your lack of experience. It is a win-win because you get the experience and they get a great deal on something they need. Then with each job, slowly raise your fees until you start to see resistence from clients. Just remember, the more experience you have the more you can charge.
Reply:I don't think anyone but a graphic designer in your area can answer that question for you because you have to price yourself according to these 3 factors.

1. Your Experience.

2. Your cost to make the designs (Computer, software, workspace etc.)

3. The demand for Design in your area. If demand for design is high and supply is low then you can charge more. If supply is high (lots of non employed designers) and demand is low, then you can't charge as much.

I would look to see what other designers are charging in your area for the same level of work you're doing and charge a little less for it. (As long as it isn't below you're cost of operation) If no one is bitting lower your price, if you get too many projects raise your price.
