How do I impress people in the graphic design industry?
Show respect! Ask good questions. Don't go overboard throwing your knowledge around trying to impress anyone; you'll come across as an arrogant little know-it-all. That doesn't mean you can't have opinions; just remember that they (probably) all have a similar level of education, and experience on top of that.

The mechanics of design are, of course, important; but much of the real world revolves around relationships.

Oh, and VERY IMPORTANT: Proofread yourself! Spelling, grammar and (in your question) punctuation errors make a very bad first impression!
Reply:being the person that you are and speaking politely with good hygiene
Reply:wear hugo boss and brush your teeth
Reply:look them directlyin the eye. promote yourself. be ready to sell them on you as an employee. being shy and acting like you are not proud of your work will get you no where.

talk about how good you are and being sure of this will help them to believe it. (dont be cocky...just act convinced that you know you are the person for the job)
Reply:Grow a Groucho Marx moustache and quote Mae West frequently.
Reply:what kind of design? if Graphic design all I can say (from experience) is don't go throwing your ideas at them if your young they don't respect that. Casually make small suggestions that make a huge difference. If your good enough they'll notice.
Reply:Be confident and display your best designs in a portfolio.
