How do you put a slide design on a single slide?

So I'm doing a PowerPoint, and I want to have a different slide design on each slide. But whenever I try to change one slide's slide design, all of the slides change to that design. Help?

How do you put a slide design on a single slide?
I assume that u'r using Powerpiont XP or later version.





If u simply click on the design u want to apply u will have all the slide have the same design.





But if u just bring the mouse over the design u will see that a arrow has appeared at the side of that design click that arrow and u will get a list. In that list u will see a option as "apply to selected slides" click that and u will have the current slide have the design u chose without overriding the design of others.
