How would you summarize a book about engineering design in a 100 words?

I just don't know what to write. The book is called ' Engineering Design' by Geroge E. Dieter and it basically describes what Engineering design is. I don't know how I can possibly summarize that in a 100 words!!

How would you summarize a book about engineering design in a 100 words?
Reread the introduction or preface if it has one, the chapter titles, the chapter summaries if there are ones, and maybe bits of the first chapter and last chapter. Highlight important sentences as you do this, and also make a list of words you think are significant as well as significant points. Then look again at the sentences you haave highlighted. Then see what you can put together, using just the most important points that you have noted. Best of luck with it.
Reply:Pretend you're doing a dust jacket. Write about what the book covers, and not what it actually says (a subtle distinction, I know).

Try to break it into sections- like writing one sentence descriptions for what each chapter covers. Take that material and turn it into your summary.
